Role Purpose
Reporting to the Acquisition Marketing Manager in the marketing team, the Search Marketing Specialist will help lead search marketing execution and performance monitoring, steering and improving performance. You will lead a broad spectrum of key analyses and processes, working closely with many senior stakeholders across the business.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Monitor marketing channel performance to determine where improvements can be made
  • Lead the daily execution of paid search campaigns and improve performance
  • Conceptualise and implement optimisation strategies and tests for SEM campaigns
  • Build and execute keyword and search term optimisation plan
  • Execute the SEO strategy, coordinating with regional Lazada SEO team to ensure its effectiveness and maximizing organic rankings and related performance metrics
  • Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of activity in an effort to maximize SEO  results
  • Identify areas for on-site improvements in site structure, internal linking, page code, and content
  • Collaborate and build SEO processes with marketing, product, commercial and other functions cross-company (Redmart & Lazada)
  • Have autonomy to improve processes within the function
  • Direct exciting analyses to solve thorny e-commerce problems and provide/implement actionable recommendations to improve how we operate
  • Ability to drive business improvements through analysis and data driven decision making
  • Opportunities working with Google and Facebook and being the first to try the beta products from Google and Facebook
  • Continuously conduct the test to improve the marketing performance and be the market leader of performance marketing


Qualifications needed

  • At least 1-2 years of work experience in analytics, performance marketing, consulting and investment banking
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience in paid search marketing and SEO
  • Strong experience in Adwords campaign optimisation
  • In-depth experience in keyword research, search term optimisation, and keyword expansion
  • Good understanding of modern SEO and ranking factors, SEO dependencies, technical & mobile
  • Experience with keyword research, safe link building techniques, seo-tools
  • In-depth experience with web-analytics tool, e.g. Google Analytics
  • Outstanding analytical skills including knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SQL and Powerpivot
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, prioritize and deliver on multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • Possess channel marketing expertise in Facebook, Display & Search channels and any other marketing channels
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business , Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Statistics
