We are embarking on a rapid growth in the scale and complexity of our fulfilment operations including the introduction of automation as part of the Infrastructure Development team you will have a key role in turning the plans into reality.


Job Purpose

Reporting to the Infrastructure Development Director you will lead a small team to devise and implement solutions to provide new services to our customers, improve productivity, quality, and increase capacity to support business growth.


Scope and Responsibilities

  • Take high-level business requirements and propose solutions to fulfil the need while taking into account of budget and time constraints
  • Evaluate current fulfilment network and highlight future capacity constraints, areas for improvement and propose solutions to address
  • Lead and develop a team of industrial engineers and analysts
  • Develop layouts and processes for current and future facilities from concept to operation ensuring capacity and productivity targets are met
  • Lead assigned projects or elements of projects delivering to time, cost and quality
  • A technical specialist able to make recommendations that will have a major impact on customer service, productivity and capacity
  • Engage the operational and project teams in the design phase to ensure that solutions are practical
  • Identify and lead change management efforts required to ensure successful implementation


Skills and Competencies

  • Experienced Industrial Engineer who has led or played a major role in a large-scale cross-functional fulfilment development project
  • Understand best practice and available technology including automation and able to recommend what is appropriate and how this can be implemented
  • Six Sigma experience, green belt or above desirable
  • Able to analyse complex data and use it to design practical solutions
  • Detail and service oriented, friendly and professionally able to work in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous situations with changing priorities
  • Good common sense with ability to solve practical problems within a very short timeline
  • A good manager, with ability to bring out the best out of people including those without a direct reporting line
  • High sense of responsibility and self-motivation
  • Someone who takes pride in his work
  • 7+ years relevant work experience
