Pricing Manager

We are seeking a Pricing Manager who will be responsible for helping to set and manage the prices of the thousands of products RedMart offers.  The candidate will be a core member of the commercial team, and will report directly to the VP of Commercial. They will manage the Pricing Analyst and work closely with the Business Intelligence and other tech functions.


  • In this role, you will partner with our merchandising team on a daily basis and work closely with other key business stakeholders in Marketing, Operations and Finance to shape and deliver RedMart’s price strategy and guidelines.
  • The successful applicant will work closely with senior stakeholders and the wider commercial team to develop both high level pricing strategies and category level plans, and provide ongoing guidance and coaching to our category managers to deliver value for our customers and the business.
  • You will play an instrumental role in developing and embedding a pricing culture and capability that balances customer needs and commercial targets, and supports the wider strategic agenda.
  • You will work with Competitive Intelligence technology team to define and develop tools to allow RedMart to easily manage pricing decisions
  • Conduct, monitor and assess product pricing and promotions tests.
  • Oversee competitive pricing monitoring and analysis, both in-store and online scraping
  • Produce pricing and promotion effectiveness reports
  • Take leadership role in setting Redmart's price perception in market/with customers
  • Having line management responsibilities, including ongoing coaching and support within the team.


We are looking for a strategic thinker who can work autonomously to define and execute our strategies and who is a strong communicator and influencer, to ensure adherence to those policies.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from top undergraduate institution, MBA or other graduate degree preferred
  • Previous experience in a pricing / commercial role, preferably within a fast paced FMCG environment, management consulting or similar preferred. At least 4-5 years relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels in the business
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem solving skills, excellent data interrogation and management skills - proficiency with SQL, Tableau (or similar Business Intelligence tool) strongly preferred
  • Proven track record in using data intensive quantitative analysis and insights for strategic and commercial business decisions
  • Innovation and continuous improvement-focused attitude
  • Ability to work autonomously in a highly demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills while managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
  • Experience with technical product development / specifications is a bonus
