Role Purpose

To support RedMart’s Commercial teams and gain real world experiences, focused training, business mentorship and opportunities to accelerate your career.

This is a rotational graduate position across the sub-Commercial teams of Merchandising (Category Management), Supply Chain, On-site Merchandising and Market Place.

Key tasks and responsibilities

The Commercial Graduate will contribute in a support capacity within RedMart. The primary areas of responsibility are (but not limited to):

Merchandising (Category Management)

  • Assisting Category Managers in daily responsibilities such as new line set up, promotions, ensuring data accuracy, preparing and analysing weekly reports, optimising site merchandising.
  • Identifying and creating process improvements to help streamline Category management processes.
  • Identifying new products to range through store visits, customer suggestions and other data sources.
  • Ad Hoc projects, dependant on needs and requirements of the Commercial Team.

 Supply Chain

  • Assist the supply chain and purchasing team in managing our inventory
  • Place orders with suppliers to reduce Out of Stock while minimising inventory holding costs and wastage

 On-site Merchandising

  • Optimise the website to enable customers to find the products they are looking for
  • Manage keywords and catalogue
  • Setup theme pages and stores for seasonal events

 Marketplace

  • Assist Marketplace Business Acquisition team in daily responsibilities such as new merchant set up, promotions, ensuring data accuracy, preparing and analysing weekly reports, optimising site merchandising.
  • Support team in reaching growth targets by suggesting potential target merchants and opportunities.
  • Administration and ad-hoc projects, dependent on needs and requirements of the Marketplace team.

 Marketing

  • Work with Marketing team to assist with campaign planning and delivery within budget and timelines.
  • Assist post-campaign reporting and recommendations.
  • Support various functions as required, e.g. Acquisition or Engagement.

Qualifications needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
  • Technology proficiency
  • Recent graduate within 1-2 years
